This hand painted wooden ornament is based on an angel design from the 3rd century, which can be found in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin Church in Armenia.
They are produced at the Koghb Art School in Armenia by eight artisans from the local area.

After graduating from university in Yerevan, Anna Nasibyan returned to Koghb, a border village in the Tavush province in Armenia. She started to teach painting at a local art school and then founded the Yeregnuk Handicraft Group with Arusyak Pashikyan and Satenik Dulijanyan. The Group consists of eight core artisans.
