This fabric is woven by an Armenian in Alexandria, Egypt and sewn in Vardenis, Armenia. It's called shining star because woven into the fabric are fine, delicate, metallic threads. The design is reminiscent of handwoven rugs, which has a rich history and tradition in the Armenian culture.

This kitchen set is produced by Vardenis Sewing, a community hub in Vardenis, Armenia launched by Lena and her husband Armen. Locals can buy all household linens and custom-made garments from Vardenis Sewing, plus local women are employed to produce a wide range of homewares, providing vital employment in their local community, helping stem emigration.
