HDIF
Homeland Development Initiative Foundation (HDIF) works to initiate, facilitate, and nurture sustainable economic opportunities in rural villages, towns, and cities throughout Armenia as well as vulnerable groups. HDIF creates jobs that pay above minimum wage in Armenian communities and commits to regional economic development.
HDIF’s primary goal is to empower women by giving them education and important skills to be successful as independent business operators. This goal is achieved by organising training on different business-related topics to encourage entrepreneurship.
HDIF is a registered non-governmental organisation in the Republic of Armenia.

Empower women & families
HDIF empowers local artisans by providing fairly paid, good quality, local employment for women (and some men) in Armenia's rural villages, border towns and cities. The money their producer partners earn provides supplemental household incomes to support families, send kids to school and live a move stable life.
Make beautiful handicrafts
HDIF products are known and recognised around the world. Each product is a one-of-a-kind creation, made with loving care. The beautiful handicrafts are distinct because of their professional quality and careful attention to detail. Imbued into each piece is the story of Armenia and its ancient heritage.
Promote economic development
HDIF's goal is to stimulate economic development in rural areas to create sustainable communities. They offer training workshops that teach business skills, financial management, marketing and community-based tourism. HDIF partners with other organisations to fulfil its mission.
Bow-X
Bow-X is a family-owned and run business based in Yerevan, Armenia that offers handmade bow ties and suspenders for adults and children that range from classic designs to fun, colourful, unique, cultural, and more.
They design and produce all of their handmade bows at their local studio and use fabric purchased locally, supporting other local Armenian businesses.
Bow-X also print and embroider the fabrics for their ties themselves.
